Sizwe Hadebe schooled at Glenwood High School in Durban, where he played cricket and rugby. Sizwe then moved to Johannesburg to study physiotherapy at Wits and graduated in 2008. He worked his community service year at Helen Joseph Hospital, while volunteering at various sporting events gaining all the experience he could get. He started working with both the University of Johannesburg’s rugby team and the Golden Lions Sevens before his move to Centurion to join the Titans cricket team in 2016.

He has enjoyed seven seasons with the Titans and won eight trophies with them. In the Mzansi Super League in 2018 and 2019, he joined the Tshwane Spartans cricket team. He has also worked with the South African A cricket team in 2018 and 2019 on their tours to India.

He joined the Mumbai Indians team as the head physiotherapist in the Indian Premier League in 2020, where he helped them retain their title, and be IPL champions once again.

In 2021 he accompanied the Proteas (South African men’s cricket team) to Pakistan. In the same year he was part of the Proteas management team for an inbound tour against the Netherlands.

In 2022 he was appointed Cricket South Africa’s lead Physiotherapist.

Currently Sizwe Hadebe is the incumbent Proteas Physiotherapist.

*I've always wanted to represent my country and when I realised I wasn't going to make it as a player, I went for the next best thing, because I still wanted to be involved in sport and I didn't want to be stuck in an office. It's been a great opportunity and humbling to have your hard work recognised and given the opportunity to work with the next-best players in the country and try and help them to achieve their goals
